Why CBD Could Be A Great Fit Into College Life

We make our products with a great amount of care for the people who choose to use them. We know that when you choose to use CBD, you are making a conscious decision to focus on your health and wellbeing in a natural way.

This is a very powerful part of your life and because of that, we do not take quality lightly.

CBD is a product that has grown in popularity by a significant amount in recent years. One survey found that 33% of respondents had tried CBD products and of those respondents, 22% have used CBD to replace prescription or over-the-counter drugs.

At BeSababa, we believe that CBD can have a positive impact on anyone from virtually any age group (older than 18 of course)! With that in mind, we have created a comprehensive list of ways that CBD could be perfect for college students.

CBD For Sleep

College is fun and enriching, but it can be a majorly sleep-deprived time in our lives. Experts recommend adults get 7-8 hours of sleep per night.

One study found that on average college students only get around 6 hours per night. Even among those who do get enough sleep, just 11% of college students report sleeping well, and 40% report only feeling rested two nights out of the week.

The effects of losing sleep can be detrimental to anyone, but a good night’s rest is especially important for college students.

Sleep helps to retain and consolidate information, and losing sleep can impair memory. This is a major issue for any student -- and means more stress (more on that later).

One way to improve this common issue is by working on a consistent sleep schedule.  Having a consistent sleep schedule has been shown to improve sleep quality and consistency.

However, consistency is difficult in the ever-changing world of a college student. With assignments piling up, deadlines looming, and the prospect of fun nights out with friends.

A suggestion by the Sleep Foundation recommends creating a pre-bed routine to help get yourself back on track.

Integrating CBD can not only become part of your routine, there’s even evidence that shows it can improve your sleep quality, for those nights when college gets in the way of your sleep plans (it happens to the best of us!).

We offer some great products to aid in this routine and help wind down before bed. If you like to keep it simple, try out our Gummies. For a specialized formula meant to help sleep, you can try out our Sleep Oil!

CBD for Social Anxiety

Social anxiety is an ever-present part of many college students' lives. Studies by the National Institute of Mental Health have found that around 9.1% of respondents have had “Past Year Prevalence of Social Anxiety Disorder”.

statistics on people with social anxiety disorder

It is not uncommon for students to experience this common issue and at BeSababa, we believe that CBD could be a helpful way to soothe the issue of social anxiety.

Of course, we do recognize that CBD is not nearly as popular as other substances are to help soothe social anxiety or just socialize in general. However, that does not mean that it’s not a reasonable alternative for when other substances just don’t make sense.

Whether you have an exam the next day or social drinking just isn’t for you, CBD could be a more natural alternative to help soothe social anxiety.

CBD oil for anxiety is popular and there has been research done to show its efficacy in relaxing and calming people. A study done in 2010 found that CBD could help reduce anxiety for people experiencing social anxiety disorder (SAD). To read that study, click here.

With this in mind, BeSababa’s CBD Oils or CBD Gummies are a great way to try out CBD as a natural alternative that could be calming.

CBD for College athletes

College athletes are a huge part of any University in The United State. A survey done in the 2017-2018 academic year by the NCAA estimated that almost 500,00 students are competing on over 19,000 teams.

This is an astronomical number and just goes to show how many college athletes there are, this survey did not include people who are just active and fit outside of being on a team.

With this huge amount of fitness and activity, comes inevitable soreness and possible injury. Strains, sprains, and other injuries are common for any active person and they are not always the easiest to deal with.

Many times, they are not severe enough to warrant a doctor's visit, but that does not mean they are not frustrating and nagging.

CBD balm and CBD oils have become extremely popular for this exact situation because they give you the option to help relieve pains and aches easily.

Our balms and oils are also great for your normal recovery because they can give you slight relief from the soreness that comes with any good workout or activity.

At BeSababa, we believe that how you recover is just as important (if not more important) as how you push your body. This means that showing care and love for yourself when you’re not pushing is crucial to feeling good.

If you’re looking to try CBD out for recovery and relief for your body, we would highly recommend our Balms and Recovery Oil. These two products are a great combination for taking care of your body after even the most intense workouts.

CBD for Stress

While college is often touted as the best time of people’s lives, it can also be highly stressful.

Even high school students are exposed to stress concerning college, with worries of admission starting as early as 14 and students worried about grades, standardized test scores, and extracurriculars.

Once there, the statistics don’t get much better, with 80% of college students reporting that they frequently feel high levels of stress. Incoming college freshmen have a rigorous curriculum to deal with, on top of potential homesickness and concerns of making new friends in a whole new environment.

As time goes on, courses only get more challenging. Stress is shown to have adverse effects on both physical and mental health. 34% of students report feeling depressed at college.

Dealing with stress in healthy and productive ways is a matter of high importance for college students. As we mentioned before, getting enough sleep in one important factor (and one that college students can neglect).

Another recommended way to manage stress is through exercise. Generally, college students should be sure that they’re paying attention to their needs and practicing self-care...but that’s easier said than done!

At BeSababa, we can honestly say that any of our products can be implemented into your de-stressing efforts. Some simple examples would be using our Balm to relieve muscle tension and back pain after a long day of studying. Or using our Focus Oil to help kick-up your ability to pay attention in class.

Ultimately, take care of yourself no matter what you’re doing. Whether it’s studying, hanging out with friends, or taking a day to yourself to relax, we have a product to enhance any destressing method you decide on.
